art, baby, toddler and home

many people believe that once you have kids, you can’t have a cool, artistic home. with kids, your house will always be in a mess.  safety and practicality are more important.  often safety means no grill-less windows, no sharp corners, no fragile decorations, no expensive paintings, sculptures or furniture. practicality means lots of storage space for toys, diapers, wet wipes and lots of other rubbish which your child calls treasure! but after reading the article “modern love” written by tom roston on whether contemporary art is lost on toddlers or a matter of perspective, i decided to change things at home.
